Learning Skills: Learning Skills Services and Student Counselling, Health & Well-being can offer support with any personal or academic challenges you may experience during your time at York. From stress management and text anxiety to critical thinking and effective reading, get help one-on-one or in a group workshop. 

Peer tutorship and mentoring: Take advantage of peer tutorship and mentoring, access academic advising and connect with your college to learn more about foundation/program introductory courses and Peer Assisted Study Sessions (PASS).

Career Centre: This will be your resource for exploring internships, placements and co-op programs, searching for work opportunities, attending career workshops, brushing up your resumé and networking with professionals in your field of study.

Atkinson Centre for Mature & Part-time Students (ACMAPS): ACMAPS supports the academic and personal success of students from first year to graduation. ACMAPS offers orientations, transition and student success programming, advising and a peer mentor program geared towards adult learners.

York University Mature Students Organization (YUMSO): YUMSO’s staff of student volunteers work hard, starting with orientation and continuing social events throughout the year, to make sure you have the best possible experience at York. Drop by the YUMSO office to unwind between classes or to access our computer work stations. 

Childcare: Students with children and families are welcomed in the York community. Childcare and daycare services are provided by the Lee Wiggins Childcare Centre and the York University Co-operative Daycare Centre on the Keele Campus.
